Description

This is a book that tells the story of the Harmony Route and the Butler Shortline. The author Bill Fronczek has been a volunteer at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum since age 15. His interest in the Harmony Route was sparked by the discussion he had with older railfans that rode the line. After visiting the now abandoned rights-of-way, he began researching photos, and historical data that was relevant to the line. All the information that he collected lead to many years developing the manuscript for this book.

The book is beautifully illustrated with many historic photos and maps. A great gift for any railfan and anyone interested in the railway history of the Pittsburgh region in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
