Remember taking the trolley downtown to go shopping or going to the amusement park? Pittsburgh  Streetcar City takes a fond look back at Pittsburgh's streetcars from animal and cable powered vehicles in the 1800s, to Pittsburgh Railways streetcars connecting neighborhoods to light rail vehicles currently operated by the Port Authority of Allegheny County. It even includes a section on the Pittsburgh's inclines. The 188-page book is lavishly illustrated with both color and black and white photos, a detailed roster of streetcars, a listing of all streetcar routes and a detailed fold out map circa 1949.
